About the Programme
DAAD offers scholarships each year for graduate studies or short courses at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA). Give opportunities to study in Philippines.
Scholarship Benefits
- Full tuition fees paid.
- Monthly living allowance. Paid by DAAD during your whole period of study.
- Travel allowance. Paid by DAAD for one return flight from home country to Philippines.
- Health and accident insurance. Covered by DAAD.
Duration of Studies
Courses from 3 months to 36 months maximum. Depends on your selected degree programme at SEARCA. Most common is Master’s degree for 24 months.

Language Requirements
English language requirements same as SEARCA. For most programmes, IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80. Check SEARCA website for exact English score of your desired programme.
Nationality Requirements
Open for applicants from all DAAD cooperation countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Refer website for full list of eligible nationalities.
Field of Study Requirements
All agriculture and agricultural-related study programmes at SEARCA eligible. Such as: Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Biosecurity etc.

Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree completed before start of scholarship.
- Above average academic results in your previous degree.
- Two years minimum relevant work experience.
- Letter of admission from SEARCA already in hand.

15 November each year. Early application advised. Selection process takes some months.

- Register online on DAAD portal.
- Complete online application form giving all details.
- Upload required documents like CV, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation.
- Submit online by deadline. No hard copies needed.
Selection Procedure
- Screening of applications by DAAD and SEARCA.
- Shortlisted candidates invited for online/onsite interviews sometimes.
- Final selection of successful candidates made by DAAD and SEARCA.
Notification of Results
